Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, develop, and scale the AMS Opportunity Consulting team, ensuring strong capability acrossSenior Opportunity Consultants and analysts
  • Build a high-performing organization with clear role segmentation acrosscomplex vs. standard deals
  • Coach and mentor team members onadvanced financial modeling, deal structuring, and executive engagement
  • Drive talent development, succession planning, and capability uplift aligned to aaS business evolution
  • Ensure consistent ways of working, governance adherence, and quality standards across the region

2. Strategic Deal Leadership

  • Oversee and guide the financial evaluation oflarge, complex aaS deals (GreenLake, Hybrid Cloud, Services)
  • Providesenior financial oversighton key pursuits, ensuring robust assumptions, optimized pricing strategies, and strong risk mitigation
  • Act as atrusted financial advisor to Sales leadershipon strategic deals, large investments, and competitive positioning
  • Ensure consistency and alignment of pricing decisions with long-term account strategies and WW pricing frameworks
  • Support deal shaping activities, includingscenario modeling and trade-off analysisto maximize profitability and win rates

3. Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure strict adherence toHPE accounting standards, revenue recognition policies, and financial governance frameworks
  • Maintain independence in financial assessments, ensuringtransparent and unbiased presentation of deal economics
  • Oversee risk assessment processes, ensuring all financial, contractual, and operational risks are clearly identified and mitigated
  • Partner with Compliance, Tax, Revenue Recognition, and Legal teams to address complex deal structures and mitigate exposure
  • Ensurehigh-quality inputs into approval processes (OBR/Executive approvals)

4. Business Partnership & Executive Engagement

  • Partner withAMS Sales, Pursuit, Finance, and Business Unit leadersto align deal strategies with broader business objectives
  • Engage directly withsenior executives (Sales and Finance)on high-value opportunities and investment decisions
  • Influence decision-making throughclear, data-driven insights and compelling financial storytelling
  • Act as a key interface betweenGeo, WW Pricing, and Global Deal Desk/OC leadership

5. Operational Excellence & Transformation

  • Drive the evolution of the aaS Opportunity Consulting model towardscalability, speed, and specialization
  • Implement structured operating models aligned with:
    • Deal complexity segmentation (SPA vs. standard handling)
    • Clear ownership and accountability across Deal Desk and OC roles
  • Identify opportunities to improve:
    • Pricing tools and automation
    • Financial modeling efficiency
    • Deal cycle time and quality
  • Lead or contribute toglobal pricing transformation initiatives, ensuring AMS alignment with WW standards
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA, CPA, or equivalent strongly preferred
  • Typically10-15+ years of experience in finance, including pricing, deal desk, or commercial finance roles
  • Proven leadership experience managingglobal or regional teamsin complex environments
  • Strong background inaaS / subscription-based business modelsand deal structuring
  • Experience partnering withsenior executives and influencing strategic decisions

Knowledge and Skills

  • Deep expertise infinancial modeling (P&L, cash flow, NPV/IRR)and investment analysis
