Positions may include enumerators, supervisors, and office staff, and the work is generally temporary, lasting only for the duration of the census period.

Working on the Decennial Census team involves a variety of responsibilities, such as collecting accurate data from the public, verifying information, and ensuring confidentiality. Team members often face challenges like encouraging community participation, addressing language barriers, and navigating diverse neighborhoods. Collaboration with colleagues is key, as the work is highly team-oriented and may require adapting to evolving schedules or assignments. The role provides valuable experience in data collection, public outreach, and government operations.
