This full-time position is primarily remote, allowing you the flexibility to provide care while working in a comfortable and productive setting. • Conduct comprehensive crisis assessments for clients facing immediate mental health emergencies, determining the nature and severity of their situations.
• Implement targeted crisis interventions and counseling strategies to encourage healing and rebuild resilience in individuals undergoing difficult circumstances.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency response teams as necessary to ensure client safety and provide a coordinated response during crises.
• Offer ongoing follow-up care and recommendations for additional resources, ensuring clients receive continuous support and appropriate treatment options.
• Utilize evidence-based crisis intervention techniques and de-escalation procedures to handle high-pressure situations effectively.
• Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills in crisis counseling and stay updated with the latest practices in mental health treatment.

Our services predominantly focus on individuals struggling with substance use disorders, including those facing severe emotional distress or trauma. The counselor will work closely with clients from diverse backgrounds, fostering an environment of acceptance and understanding to help them navigate their challenges.

• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification.
• A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in providing mental health counseling, particularly in crisis intervention.
• Strong familiarity with trauma-informed care principles and crisis counseling methodologies.
• Proficient in evidence-based practices for crisis management and de-escalation.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with clients in distress.
• Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and empathy in approach when supporting diverse populations.
• Capability to swiftly conduct assessments and develop tailored crisis intervention strategies.
• Deep understanding of ethical and legal standards governing crisis counseling practices.

• Additional training or certification in specialized areas such as trauma, addiction counseling, or crisis negotiation.
• Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for clients.
