Job Title: Director of Procurement

Summary:

who can manage our supply chain initiatives with resourcefulness, discipline, and high energy.

manufacturing of scientifically proven and innovative skin care and personal care products.

Organizational Relationships

  • Chief Transformation Officer

Responsibilities

 

  • Manage procurement of all raw materials, components, packaging, capital equipment and other materials.  Total purchases currently exceed $25 million per year and is expected to double over the coming few years.
  • Establish vendor management protocols and relationships to ensure that suppliers meet or exceed the needs of Cosmetic Solutions’ business, including on-time delivery, visibility to delivery dates, the procurement of high quality products and competitive pricing.
  • Establish alternative suppliers for key materials, ensuring continuity and reliability of supply.
  • Benchmark Cosmetic Solutions’ materials procurement results vs. industry standards and competitors.
  • Build a high performing procurement team and drive continuous improve opportunities within the procurement function.
  • Drive supply chain initiatives that enable speed, flexibility, and agility to support profitable top-line growth and gross margin improvement.
  • Build strong work relationships with internal stakeholders and with key suppliers by providing visibility with sourcing materials and components to meet the product needs at a good cost and by providing accurate and timely estimations of material/component delivers and costs
  • Manage inventory levels to the appropriate optimum level balancing the dynamics of inventory carrying costs vs the requirements to meet our customers’ demands.

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Management, Materials Management or similar.
  • 10+ years minimum of Supply Chain: Product Development/Sourcing with a majority of this experience in the Cosmetics Industry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization
  • Data-driven operations, performance metrics, and fiscally responsible
  • Action-oriented

  • Ability to build and manage a highly proficient team.

  • Proven track record of successful negotiation skills
