• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to effectively identify and understand the specific concerns of clients, utilizing structured interviews and standardized tools.
• Design and implement customized treatment plans that leverage evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship dynamics.
• Facilitate regular one-on-one therapy sessions, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based interventions to foster client engagement and progress.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to share insights and strategies for enhancing patient care and ensuring a cohesive approach to treatment.
• Stay informed about the latest research, trends, and best practices in mental health counseling, incorporating new learnings into your therapeutic practice.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards, ensuring accurate documentation of client interactions and treatment progress.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute emotional distress, ensuring their safety and connection to appropriate resources.

The clients you’ll serve encompass a diverse range of backgrounds and mental health conditions, including individuals and families navigating complex emotional challenges. Your role will focus on creating a safe and affirming space in which clients feel empowered to discuss their struggles and goals. By employing a culturally competent approach, you will help cultivate resilience and healing within each client.

• A Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.

• At least two years of direct experience providing mental health counseling, particularly with individuals facing emotional challenges.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records systems is advantageous, streamlining your workflows and documentation processes.
• A history of delivering therapy to diverse populations, showcasing your agile approach to understanding each client’s unique narrative and context.
• Demonstrated ability to cultivate rapport quickly and effectively with clients from varying cultural and social backgrounds.

The salary for this position ranges from USD 52,000 for part-time roles up to USD 100,000 for full-time employment, reflecting experience and expertise.
