Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to identify client needs and concerns, creating tailored treatment plans that address their specific mental health challenges.
• Facilitate one-on-one therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), ensuring that protocols align seamlessly with each client's goals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated care, including consultations with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring that every client receives holistic support.
• Participate in professional development through regular training opportunities, webinars, and peer supervision, remaining updated with the latest research and therapeutic techniques.
• Contribute innovative ideas for program enhancements that promote client engagement and satisfaction, actively participating in team meetings and discussions.
• Provide crisis intervention as necessary, utilizing de-escalation techniques and supportive communication to ensure client safety and emotional stability during critical moments.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in compliance with ethical guidelines and legal standards, utilizing our electronic medical records systems effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clientele served at Clarity Consciousness Integration Service comprises a diverse range of individuals, from adolescents facing anxiety and depression to adults dealing with trauma and relationship challenges. As a mental health counselor, you'll engage with clients from various backgrounds, delivering culturally competent and affirming care tailored to their unique experiences and needs.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.
• A Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

Preferred Experience

• Preferably, at least two years of clinical experience providing mental health counseling services to individuals and families navigating emotional challenges.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly establish rapport and trust with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is advantageous, as it enhances the efficiency of service delivery.
• A commitment to cultural competence and inclusivity, ensuring the provision of care that respects and affirms diverse identities and experiences.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration with clients and team members.
• Ability to work independently while being an effective member of a multidisciplinary team committed to holistic care.
