Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments of clients to identify their concerns and collaboratively develop tailored treatment plans that foster personal growth and healing.
• Facilitate one-on-one therapy sessions, employing various evidence-based methods to address issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship dynamics.
• Provide timely crisis intervention and support for clients in immediate distress, ensuring access to resources and maintaining their safety.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and coherent care for clients, sharing insights and refining treatment objectives.
• Engage in ongoing training and peer supervision discussions that enhance your clinical skills and align service delivery with industry best practices.
• Maintain detailed and confidential client records, adhering to the ethical guidelines and legal requirements pertinent to mental health practice.
• Contribute innovative ideas to program development, enhancing the therapeutic processes and client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clients will include individuals experiencing a range of emotional challenges, from depression and anxiety to complex trauma and relationship issues. You will work with a diverse population, including various ages and backgrounds, necessitating a culturally responsive approach to care.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of two years’ experience in mental health counseling preferred, focusing on direct client interactions.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems and teletherapy platforms is advantageous.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing inclusive, culturally competent care in a sensitive manner, respecting each client's identity and journey.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and document client progress appropriately.

Compensation and Benefits
