Are you passionate about leading fun and engaging Aqua Zumba classes? Do you enjoy promoting wellness in a positive environment?

Join the North River Family YMCA team and make a difference in people's lives through energizing and educational Aqua Zumba classes. We provide the training and resources for you to succeed and grow in your role. If you are looking for a job with purpose and opportunities for contributing to the greater good, the Y is the perfect place for you!

We are currently in need of an instructor to work the following days/times:

  • Tuesdays, 8:30am-9:30am
  • Thursdays, 8:30a,m-9:30am
  • Saturdays, 8:15am-9:00am

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead energizing, safe, and educational Aqua Zumba classes to support the YMCA mission and goals.
  • Answer member questions and provide support in achieving their wellness goals.
  • Build authentic relationships with members and foster connections within the YMCA community.
  • Maintain accurate class attendance records and follow YMCA policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Required certifications: CPR, First Aid, AED, Oxygen administration, YMCA Water Fitness Instructor certification, and Aqua Zumba certification.
  • Minimum of one year teaching group wellness classes preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to conduct classes, swim, walk, stand, bend, reach, and lift.
  • Perform all physical aspects of the position effectively.
