Seasonal/Year-Round: Seasonal

  • Starting Pay: $27.00/hour
  • Full Pay Range: $27.00-$37.00/hour (employees may earn up to $37.00/hour with continued employment)

About the Role
Associated Recreation Council (ARC), in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Zumba Instructor to lead fitness programming.
These opportunities are for on-site, in-person instruction only.
This is a seasonal, part-time position ideal for an instructor who is passionate about movement, community wellness, and creating an inclusive, supportive class environment.

  • 9/1/2026

Zumba Instructor duties and responsibilities include:
  • Lead Zumba dance-fitness classes for people of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Develop class sequences that promote cardiovascular health, balance, mobility, and fun.
  • Ensure participant safety by monitoring movement, offering modifications, and maintaining awareness of individual needs.
  • Manage class setup and cleanup.
  • Maintain attendance records and complete required administrative documentation.

Zumba Instructor requirements include:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Experience teaching group fitness, dance, or Zumba-style classes.
  • Zumba certification or willingness to obtain it.
