General Summary of Position:

The Zuckerberg College of Health Sciences is seeking a Finance and Business Manager. This position will oversee the business and financial functions of the Zuckerberg College of Health Sciences, and will provide support, solutions, and guidance regarding business and financial matters to academic units of the college. In addition, this position works closely with other members of the Dean's office to assist with the daily functions of the college to ensure needs are being met and to advance the mission of the college and university.

Essential Job Duties:

  1. Manage business and financial transactions for the Zuckerberg College of Health Sciences in accordance with University policies and procedures and in collaboration with appropriate university units, such as Budget and Human Resources;
  2. Assist with the oversight of financial resources for the Zuckerberg College of Health Sciences; track, monitor and help prepare the college budget;
  3. Perform a high level of confidential administrative support for the Deans' Office and College, related to, for example, reimbursements, payroll actions, and contracts;
  4. Maintain spreadsheets and generate reports, especially related to faculty and student affairs and College strategic plan outcomes;
  5. Assist with the organization and implementation of College and University Events
  6. Assist with Accreditation, Program Assessment and Evaluation processes across the College:

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Masters degree with 3-5 years of administrative and financial experience. Or Bachelors degree with 5-7 years administrative and financial experience.
  • Strong computer skills/proficiency including Microsoft Office, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Experience with Summit Reporting or other similar financial reporting system
  • Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Additional Considerations:

  • Experience with PeopleSoft Modules, including Financials, Human Resources, SiS preferred, and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Experience in higher education preferred
  • An attitude of flexibility and creative problem solving;
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a timely fashion and to operate under regular deadline pressure in order to meet operational and reporting requirements;
  • Strong service orientation, with a demonstrated commitment to supporting the success of faculty, staff, and students, and to advance the mission of the organization;
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of students, faculty, staff, and vendors;
  • Ability and sensitivity to maintain confidential information.

This position is full-time, benefited and in the SEIU Union in Grade P17. Anticipated salary based on qualifications and experience with range minimum: $65,693, 25th quartile of $74,725 and midpoint of $83,758.
