Zp Group information

What is a Zp Group?

In mathematics, a Zp Group, often denoted as ℤ/pℤ, refers to the group of integers modulo a prime number p. This group consists of the set {0, 1, 2, ..., p-1} with addition performed modulo p. Zp Groups are important in abstract algebra and number theory because they are examples of finite cyclic groups and play a key role in fields such as cryptography and coding theory. Their structure is simple yet foundational for understanding more complex algebraic systems.
