Job description

Are you outgoing, energetic, and comfortable performing in front of a crowd? Do you enjoy creating unforgettable experiences while staying in character? We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Zombie Paintball Assault Bus Commanders for our haunted attraction season.

As a Bus Commander, you are the face of the attraction aboard our Zombie Paintball Assault vehicles. You'll portray a military commander leading guests on a thrilling mission through a zombie-infested environment. Your role combines live entertainment, guest interaction, safety, and teamwork to deliver an immersive and action-packed experience from beginning to end.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in character as a military commander throughout each attraction.
  • Welcome guests and build excitement before and during the experience.
  • Deliver clear and engaging safety instructions prior to departure.
  • Guide guests through the attraction while maintaining a fun, energetic, and immersive atmosphere.
  • Refill paintball markers quickly and efficiently throughout the ride.
  • Monitor guest safety and ensure all attraction rules and procedures are followed.
  • Maintain balance and perform safely while standing on a moving bus.
  • Coordinate closely with the bus driver, actors, and attraction staff to ensure smooth ride operations.
  • Assist with loading and unloading guests in a safe and organized manner.
  • Respond professionally to guest questions or concerns while remaining in character whenever possible.
  • Help maintain a positive, exciting, and memorable guest experience on every ride.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and public speaking skills.
  • Comfortable performing in front of large groups and interacting with guests of all ages.
  • Outgoing, energetic personality with the ability to keep guests engaged throughout the experience.
  • Ability to stay in character and improvise when needed.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively with attraction staff.
  • Excellent situational awareness and commitment to guest safety.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in acting, entertainment, customer service, public speaking, theater, or attractions is preferred but not required.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and maintain balance while riding on a moving vehicle.
  • Ability to lift and carry paintball supplies weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, and uneven terrain.
  • Comfortable working in dark, loud, high-energy environments with flashing lights, fog effects, and special effects.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and all scheduled operating nights throughout the haunted attraction season.
  • Must maintain a professional attitude while in costume and remain in character during guest interactions.
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance are required.
