Role Description The Generator Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in North Bergen, NJ. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing standby and portable generators, including performing routine inspections, diagnostics, and load testing to ensure reliable operation. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, replacing parts, performing preventive maintenance, and documenting work performed in service reports. The technician will respond to service calls, coordinate with supervisors and clients on scheduling and repair status, and ensure all work complies with safety standards and local codes. The role also involves keeping tools and equipment in good working order and staying current with manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices.
