Job description

WICS has an exciting opportunity for a Multimedia Journalist (MMJ). WICS is looking for a Multimedia Journalist. Your responsibilities as an MMJ will include reporting, shooting and editing news stories, enterprising story ideas, develop contacts, as well as other responsibilities as assigned. You will be expected to produce daily content on a variety of platforms in addition to television.

Skills and Experience:

  • A self-starter and who can generate his or her own story ideas on a daily basis
  • Ability to demonstrate enterprise reporting and creativity in storytelling
  • Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to maintain an active social media presence to build your brand and solicit original story ideas

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Live shot experience is preferred
  • Previous experience working in a team environment is a must
  • A Bachelor's degree in Journalism or related field
  • Clear Driving Record

The base hourly compensation range for this role is $17.50 to $18.50 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, vacation time, and floating holidays.
