Job Summary:
YouTube is a platform that connects billions of users, and they are seeking a Team Lead for YouTube Shopping Ads to drive the mission of making YouTube a leading commerce destination through advertising. The role involves optimizing shopping ads delivery, contributing to strategic development, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the user experience.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Optimize the delivery of shopping ads to YouTube viewers by incorporating new product information, refining content and presentation, and driving impact for users and customers in a full-stack manner.
โ€ข Contribute to the overall strategy of YouTube Shopping Ads, helping to build one of YouTube Ads' growing businesses.
โ€ข Develop expertise on the technical stack to deliver projects successfully.
โ€ข Work cross-functionally with product managers (PMs), user experience (UX) teams, and other software engineers (SWEs) to deliver on projects pertaining to YouTube Shopping Ads.
โ€ข Produce high-quality output and grow the business in conjunction with tech leads (TLs) and tech lead managers (TLMs) using a data-driven approach.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
โ€ข 8 years of experience programming in Java or C++.
โ€ข 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
Preferred:
โ€ข Masterโ€™s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
โ€ข 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
โ€ข 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
โ€ข 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
โ€ข Experience with user understanding and analysis of user metrics and trends.
โ€ข Familiarity with PLX/SQL/database querying technologies.
