General Purpose
Under the limited supervision of the Chief Program Officer, this position is directly accountable for the day-to-day operations of all Club programs and services in a region to be determined. This includes all aspects of leadership and supervision related to maximizing the impact on the young people served. Incumbent is a member of the organization's Senior Program Leadership Team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Club Services - Meet all established membership and daily attendance goals for the region. Regional Director will directly supervise Area Directors and occasionally Club Leads to accomplish this goal. Regional responsibility includes:

  • Oversee multiple elementary school Clubs with annual program plan with standard program offerings in 5 core areas for before & after-school programs.

  • Multiple Teen Clubs with annual program plan with program offerings in 5 core areas for after-school and evening programs.

  • Multiple Summer Camps with themed day camps including high quality program offerings, field trips, special events, and curriculum design.

  • Additional Enrichment program initiatives and partnerships that advance impact on Club Youth in priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character & Creative Expression.

  • Club logistics relevant to daily program implementation including staffing, supply procurement & distribution, special events and field trips.

  • Assist with partnership alignment and contract management with school site & district leadership regarding facility use and academic progress of Members.

  • Develop and operate fee-supported Sports Leagues.

  • Ensure participation and revenue goals are met for fee-based services; including afterschool and summer camps if appropriate in area.

  • Oversee member registration process for all programs. Ensure all memberships are current and where appropriate that fees are collected on time.

  • Ensure daily attendance is recorded properly and on time.

  • Ensure all other administrative tasks are complete for region on time and accurate.

Human Resources - Meet all regional staffing goals in order to meet member goals above. This includes:
  • Actively lead regional team in recruiting for region's position, in partnership with regional leadership team and Human Resources team.

  • Maintain a supportive, energetic and effective team of Area Directors, Club Leads and program support staff. Ensure proper communication, support and feedback are in place. Ensure proper training, coaching and development of regional team.

Planning - Assist in development of annual program plan with tangible, measured goals. Through active listening and feedback from Club members and staff, provide feedback to Program Services to ensure Club programs meet community needs on a continual basis.
Evaluation & Quality Improvement - Implement established tools to measure Club program effectiveness & manage CQI for region.
Finance - Ensure regional expenses are in line with the budget, including payroll and supplies. Ensure team follows all timelines and processes. Meet any revenue goals assigned to region.
Grant Compliance & Tracking - Maintain constant accurate Club data including member attendance and demographics and meet all other established requirements.
Safety Officer -Act as Safety Officer for region, ensuring Club environment is safe for members, staff and volunteers. Proactively make reports of accidents, injuries or safety concerns as needed.
Volunteer Development - Work with Volunteer Services to identify volunteer needs and opportunities in region and ensure compliance with all standards.
Community Relations - Support high awareness of Club programs in the region as requested. Maintain excellent relations with primary Club partners including convening appropriate collaborative groups.

Requirements
Education & Experience
Four-year degree in related field from an accredited college or university, Masters preferred.
A minimum of five years management experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar multi-million dollar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people.
Experience working with local government, boards of directors and major donors.
Candidates bilingual in Spanish, preferred.
