Job description

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour


Youth Extensions is currently hiring a Qualified Professional for our Day Treatment program serving consumers aged 5-12. The QP would work 4 8-hour shifts during the week and at least 1 Saturday per month.


Schedule:

During school year – 12:30pm-8:30pm M-F

Summer/Teacher Workdays – 8:30am-4:30pm M-F

Saturdays – 8:30am-2:30pm


Requirements:

· Bachelors degree in a human service field AND 2 years full-time post-bachelors experience in mental health or human services

· Drivers license and reliable personal transportation

· Successful completion of a background check and 3 professional reference checks


Responsibilities:

· Provide direct care counseling services to Day Treatment consumers in a group setting

· Implement and reinforce Cognitive Behavioral Therapy-based curriculum

· Assist in the planning and coordination of services

· Model and teach problem-solving, emotional regulation, communication, and social skills

· Attend weekly staff meetings, monthly clinical supervision, and trainings as required

· Transport consumers utilizing company vehicles as needed (15-passenger vans)

· Maintain appropriate documentation of services provided in accordance with Federal and State Medicaid standards

· Able to remain active and engaged through the duration of each shift, including standing, moving around the room, and interacting with clients in a dynamic and energetic environment
