Youth Empowerment Specialist (Full-Time) The Harbour Youth CenterEDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED:Ability to maintain confidentiality.Ability to work constructively and effectively with diverse staff and youth.Openness to ongoing training, supervision, and professional growth and development.Ability to work independently and in a team environmentUnderstanding of database systems and reporting practicesAbility to work in a fast-paced setting and must enjoy working with youth in an urban environmentJob Duties:Provide services to youth in a drop-in center environmentEngage with youth to ascertain what they want to see in the programming at the centerFind outside resources, volunteers, etc., to provide free or very affordable programming to youthCreate and facilitate engaging and educational programming for and with youthProvide informal mentoring services to youth while in the spaceDevelop and maintain a strong working relationship with the community and local employers to promote CCA’s Youth Empowerment Programs.Assist in the recruitment of youth/young adults into the youth center systemKeep confidential files and case notes on time.
