Job description

We're Jubilee Media.
At Jubilee, we're on a mission to provoke understanding and create human connection. We explore experiences that push people to feel more, think more, and see more in others. We challenge the belief of a black-and-white world, and instead embrace the complexity and richness of our experiences. By magnifying these stories we can discover personal identities, shared truths, and how we fit in the overarching human story. People are at the heart of everything we do, and we're looking for the next passionate teammate to join us on this journey. Together, we have the power to shift perspectives-and maybe even change the world.
About This Role
Jubilee is seeking a visionary Head of Content who combines strategic thinking, creative excellence, and strong people leadership. You will lead our Creative team, elevate our content across all platforms, and shape new shows that provoke understanding, spark empathy, and create meaningful human connection. You are passionate about content for young audiences, fearless in experimentation, and capable of translating insights into high-performing, mission-driven productions.
What You'll Do:
Lead Creative Excellence & Vision
  • Define a clear creative vision and strategic roadmap for Jubilee's content
  • Drive creative innovation, elevating existing shows while developing new, mission-aligned content that resonates with audiences and positions Jubilee as a cultural leader.
  • Provide high-level guidance and support to department heads while giving ownership to Senior Creatives, ensuring ideas are fully developed and executed efficiently
  • Bring a fresh perspective that expands creative horizons, reflecting both the diversity of our audience and emerging cultural trends.

Talent-First Strategy
  • Implement and advocate for a talent-first approach across productions, balancing cost implications with strong judgment on prioritization.
  • Support casting and post-production teams, leveraging your network of talent or agencies to elevate our shows.
  • Mentor and grow creative leaders, helping them think strategically while building their managerial and creative capabilities.

Data-Driven Decision Making & Performance
  • Define clear success metrics for shows and pilots, using analytics to assess performance, identify opportunities, and propose iterative improvements.
  • Use audience insights and YouTube analytics to guide programming, content topics, and distribution strategy across multiple platforms.
  • Maintain transparency with the team about performance and benchmarks, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Strategic, Financial & Operational Leadership
  • Own and manage creative budgets, balancing risk-taking with financial awareness to maximize ROI on shows and pilots.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Brand Partnerships, and Creative teams to optimize production costs, revenue streams, and scheduling strategies.
  • Make high-level strategic decisions about prioritization and resource allocation, ensuring the team focuses on the most impactful initiatives. Contribute to company-wide strategic conversations, influencing the overall direction of Jubilee's content, brand, and audience growth.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Impact
  • Partner closely with HR on recruitment and development of creative talent.
  • Work with cross-functional teams-including Production, Finance, Analytics, and Brand Partnerships-to execute creative strategies effectively.

Who You Are:
  • A visionary creator with strong experience in YouTube or adjacent digital content, capable of both ideation and execution.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to prioritize effectively, balance risk with financial impact, and make tough calls on what to scale, pause, or pivot.
  • Passionate about talent-first content creation, fostering team growth, mentorship, and empowerment.
  • Fluent in data-driven content strategy, audience insights, and performance analytics to inform decisions.
  • Able to navigate multiple platforms, understanding trends across YouTube, TikTok, Spotify, and other digital channels.
  • A strong communicator, capable of translating creative vision into actionable plans for teams, executives, and stakeholders.
  • Experienced in managing budgets, resources, and cross-department operations with a practical understanding of ROI and production economics.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and unafraid to experiment, pivot, and iterate while keeping mission-aligned creative output at the forefront.
  • Committed to building inclusive and diverse creative work, reflecting the audiences Jubilee serves.

Compensation & Perks
