Job description

Loadmaster Instructor

Location: Various Locations* including, but not limited to: Little Rock AFB, AR; Keesler AFB, MS; Quonset Point, RI; Dyess, TX; Yokota, Japan; Ramstein, Germany


Clearance: Secret Clearance, or ability to obtain one


*Note: You would not support various locations but you would be assigned a location upon hire based on your preference.


NOVA Technologies is continuously looking for qualified candidates to fill new and upcoming Loadmaster Instructor positions. If you are interested in applying for a future opening at any of the locations listed above, please submit your application for consideration. You will be asked to confirm your specific airframe experience (C130, C-17, and/or C-5), location preferences, and availability to start a new position within the application.


The Loadmaster Instructor will provide instructor training in varying environments (classroom, simulator, aircraft, etc.) for Loadmasters in the proper loading, securing and escorting of cargo and passengers. This position will manage the curriculum and training process to include student counseling, recordkeeping, safety and equipment maintenance, process improvement, and specific certified training courses.


Job Duties:

  • Provide Loadmaster instruction in aircraft, classroom, and simulator or other platform environments.

  • Must be thoroughly proficient in evaluating, diagnosing, and critiquing student performance; identifying learning difficulties; recognizing objectives not accomplished; and prescribing and conducting remedial instruction.

  • Provide Crew Resource Management (CRM) training.

  • Assist as Subject Matter Expert in the development of curriculum for new type courses as required.

  • Act as Lesson Subject Matter Expert to review existing lessons and/or changes to existing lessons.

  • Provides suggestions to improve and update training policies and procedures.

  • Promotes a positive attitude towards learning and embracing new technologies and tasks.

  • Conducts ground training for other crewmembers to include diagnosis and remediation of student issues.

  • Assists in project and development work as assigned.

  • Performs administrative duties such as scheduling, record keeping, monitoring student progress, counseling, quality assurance, safety, security, and maintenance of training programs and equipment.

  • Must maintain proficiency in operation of essential Aircrew Training Devices.

  • Must maintain requirements for CCAF currency.

  • Must acquire and maintain proficiency in cargo load training, aircraft servicing, and operation of aircraft systems and equipment.

  • Must be physically able to enter the simulator, experience simulator motion and take cognizance of attendees’ safety when on board the simulator.

  • Must be able to stand up and conduct academic instruction in simulators and classrooms for up to eight hours each day and operate the console as required to conduct training.

  • Aviation instruction is a highly specialized function that requires the instructor to have prior aircraft operating experience and the ability to hold credibility and the attention of the customer attendees.

  • Perform observation flights biennially in MEP status aboard aircraft (as required).

  • Ensure compliance with AETCI 36-2909.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Previously qualified as an Loadmaster Instructor with a minimum of 200 hours; or two years of Loadmaster Instructor experience.

  • Must possess a minimum of an associate’s degree from a regionally accredited college as outlined in AFI 36-2304.
