Our operation is based in Yoder, Indiana and supports General Motors. We play a key role in their transportation network by managing shuttle movements between facilities, coordinating drivers and dispatch, and ensuring consistent, on-time delivery to GM assembly plants.
Shifts Available
- 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday | 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
- 3rd Shift: Monday – Friday | 10:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
Occasional Saturday work may be needed based on operational needs.
Position Overview
The Clerk supports daily transportation and dispatch operations by assisting with coordination, communication, and documentation of freight movements. This role works closely with drivers, dispatch, and warehouse teams to ensure loads move safely, accurately, and on time while meeting customer and company expectations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily dispatch activities, including route tracking and driver support
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and warehouse teams regarding load status, ETAs, and exceptions
- Monitor inbound and outbound shipments to ensure on‑time performance
- Track material flow and report discrepancies or service issues
- Update and maintain operational records, manifests, and logs
- Support safety and compliance efforts by following company policies and DOT/OSHA guidelines
- Help resolve routine service issues such as delays, equipment concerns, or accessorial requests
- Enter and maintain accurate data within transportation and dispatch systems
- Support other operational tasks as needed to keep daily workflows running smoothly
Qualifications
- 0–3+ years of experience in logistics, dispatch, manufacturing, or distribution
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Excel or Google Sheets
- Experience with TMS or dispatch systems is a plus
- Reliable, dependable, and team‑oriented work style
