Job description

This position works under the general direction of the Director of After School Programs and is responsible for curriculum planning, family engagement, supervision and care of children in the Before and/or After School Programs.

  • This job opportunity is a part time position (29.5 hours or less) withboth before school hours and/or after school hours operating Monday through Friday. Additional hoursare available during school vacations at the Emilson YMCA and some (non-closure) holidays.
  • Successfulcandidates with a desire to work with young children must be at least 20years of age, have a high school diploma and minimum experience of 1 yearworking with school age children (or 6-9 months with a degree).
  • Successfulcandidates should provide community leadership for family/childdevelopment, encourage life-long learning in students, promote the YMCA's core values, and show commitment to the Y's three areas of focus: Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.
