Position Overview

Eagle Ridge Academy (ERA) is seeking a dynamic High School Graphic Arts Teacher to lead engaging, hands-on courses such as Digital Photo Editing, Online Applications, Creating with Canva, Digital Media, Intro to Digital Photography, Graphic Design, Career Marketing & Branding, and Yearbook. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students through real-world applications while helping expand innovative design that prepares students for college and high-demand graphic arts and technology careers.

Compensation/Salary:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: $52,000-$73,474.64/yr - no experience cap!

  • Master’s Degree: $56,000-$79,126.53/yr - no experience cap!

As a public charter school, ERA maintains its own board-approved salary schedule and does not follow surrounding district pay scales. Placement is based on education and verified experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Colorado Department of Education teaching license, a valid Career & Technical Education (CTE) Authorization, or enrollment in an alternative licensure program by start date.

  • Endorsement in Visual Arts (K-12), CTE Authorization, or demonstrated background in Graphic Design, Digital Photo Editing, Canva, Digital Photography, etc.

  • Ability to teach courses such as Digital Photo Editing, Online Applications, Creating with Canva, Digital Media, Intro to Digital Photography, Graphic Design, Career Marketing & Branding, and Yearbook, etc.

  • Ability to sponsor Yearbook (stipend provided)

  • Ability to handle many complex tasks simultaneously.

  • The ability and interest to be part of a high-functioning team. (Having respect and trusted colleagues, preferably as teammates, makes the demands of teaching sustainable.)

  • The ability and interest to learn continuously and to adapt to changing circumstances (student characteristics, curriculum, and so on).

  • A belief in empowering all children as owners of their own learning.
