Our priority is to make sure we hire safe labors that care about the safety of our customers and team members. As a yard laborer with us the minimum responsibilities are:

  • Checking trucks in and and directing traffic at site as necessary.
  • Manual laborincluding paper picking, keeping the transfer station clean and presentable.
  • Performyard workincluding cutting weeds.
  • Climbing and tarping train cars.
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs including painting and janitorial work.
  • Operating light equipment such as:skid steers.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
  • Promoting continuous improvement of workplace safety andenvironmental practices.
  • Interacting with customers and Waste Connections employees to determinesafe and environmentally sound solutions toserviceissues.

What we need from you:

  • One year of stable employment history in a similar environment.
  • Ability to lift at least 75lbs and climb.
  • Ability to work schedule in all weather conditions
  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforcesafety procedures.
