Job description

Brown County Construction is searching for a Yard Laborer to join the team!
Be a key part of our operations team by maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient rental yard. As a Yard Laborer, you will handle equipment, assist customers, and ensure that tools and machinery are ready for use. This role is hands-on and essential for smooth day-to-day operations at our rental store.
Yard Laborer Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Handling: Load, unload, move, and arrange rental equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Yard Maintenance: Keep the rental yard clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Customer Assistance: Help customers pick up and return equipment, providing guidance on basic operation and safety.
  • Inventory Support: Inspect equipment for damage, perform minor maintenance, and report issues to management.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow company safety procedures and OSHA regulations while operating equipment or performing yard tasks.
  • Team Support: Assist other staff as needed to ensure smooth operations.
  • Documentation: Track equipment check-ins, check-outs, and maintenance records accurately.

Yard Laborer Qualifications:
  • Experience: Prior experience in a warehouse, construction, or equipment handling environment is preferred but not required.
