Job Summary
Step behind the scenes and bring unforgettable experiences to life! Advanced Systems Group is looking for a passionate and talented Event Technician to be at the heart of our customer's Event campus. As an integral member of our production crew, you'll work side-by-side with innovative Technical Producers, skilled vendor technicians, and enthusiastic internal teams to deliver best-in-class technical support for extraordinary events.
What You'll Do:
  • Operating virtual event platforms, adapting to diverse shows and technical needs
  • Live video source switching between pre-recorded material and live presenters
  • Set up, operate, and manage PTZ cameras, audio mixers, and AV gear
  • Onboard and support remote presenters to ensure seamless participation
  • Troubleshoot audio, video, and streaming like a pro-no problem too tough
  • Configure redundancy/backup systems to keep every show flawless
  • Quality check creative assets and organize all event materials
  • Serve as the central communicator, liaising with the Global Event Operations Team and crew
  • Deliver VIP customer support before, during, and after every event
  • Document everything in our ticketing system (Jira)-from technical notes to show highlights
  • Write clear user guides to help others excel with AV systems

Required Education and Experience:
  • 3+ years in live events or broadcast environments
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's or further technical creds a plus)
  • Minimum 2+ years of customer support experience in a technical environment
  • Proficient in the use of Keynote, Google Slides, and Powerpoint
  • Experience using GSuite
  • Proficient in both macOS and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's in technical production or creative media
  • 4+ years operating/troubleshooting production equipment
  • Familiar with Vectorworks, CAD/drafting software
  • Startup/tech company background; professional certifications
