With a growing national footprint, WaterWalk partners with corporate clients, relocation companies, and project-based businesses across multiple markets.


Job Summary

The Director of Sales is responsible for developing, managing, and growing revenue for assigned WaterWalk property, with a primary focus on securing and retaining extended stay business defined as reservations of seven (7) consecutive nights or longer. Serving as the primary relationship owner for local and regional accounts, this role drives occupancy, ADR, and top-line revenue through strategic business development and account management efforts across key segments including construction, relocation, healthcare, government, insurance housing, sports, and corporate project business.


The ideal candidate is a strategic, results-oriented sales professional with extended stay experience and a proven ability to generate profitable revenue through consultative selling, relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration.


Key Responsibilities

Property Sales Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and execute an annual business plan focused on growing STAY revenue, with primary emphasis on reservations of seven (7) consecutive nights or longer while also supporting shorter-stay opportunities.
  • Generate new business and grow existing accounts across key segments including but not limited to construction, relocation, healthcare, government, insurance housing, sports, and corporate project business.
  • Drive market share and top-line revenue through prospecting, account management, and strategic pricing in partnership with Revenue Management and the LIVE team.

Account Management & Business Development

  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for local and regional accounts, driving growth through renewals, account penetration, and share-shift strategies.
  • Conduct sales calls, site visits, networking activities, and customer entertainment to strengthen relationships and uncover opportunities.
  • Utilize HubSpot, Kalibri Labs, ZoomInfo, and Dodge Construction Reports to identify, qualify, and develop business.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Operations, Revenue Management, Marketing, the LIVE team, National Sales, and Wyndham Sales to maximize revenue opportunities and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Support property initiatives, community engagement, and local marketing efforts while aligning sales goals with the General Manager.

Sales Reporting, Forecasting & Analytics

  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline (HubSpot Deals) and document customer interactions within HubSpot.
  • Monitor account production and key performance indicators utilizing HubSpot, Opera, Lighthouse, and other sales intelligence tools.
  • Provide performance updates and market intelligence through weekly Revenue Management and Sales Strategy calls with property and corporate leadership.

Market Intelligence & Community Presence

  • Leverage market intelligence tools, including Kalibri Labs, Lighthouse, ZoomInfo, and Dodge Construction Reports, to identify opportunities and shift market share from competitors.
  • Represent WaterWalk within the community through networking, trade shows, and relationships with key organizations and influencers.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of market conditions and competitive positioning to support pricing and account strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Hospitality Management, or a related field required; advanced degree or industry certifications preferred.
  • Five to seven plus years of hotel sales, extended stay, or business development experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in national sales, extended stay, corporate housing, or multi-property hotel sales.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-market accounts and negotiating national agreements.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
  • Experience leveraging CRM, sales intelligence, and revenue analytics tools.
  • Highly analytical, strategic, and execution-oriented with strong communication skills.
