Overview / Job Summary:

The Faculty member for the Patient Care Technician and EKG/Phlebotomy program will be responsible for instructing, advising, and supporting students to develop the skills necessary for entry-level roles in patient care and diagnostic testing. This role involves preparing and delivering instructional materials, facilitating clinical practice, and ensuring adherence to program standards and regulatory requirements.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and delivering engaging classroom and laboratory instruction for Patient Care Technician and EKG/Phlebotomy courses.
  • Evaluating and assessing student performance and providing constructive feedback to support learning and skill development.
  • Maintaining accurate student records, including attendance, grades, and clinical competencies.
  • Ensuring compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements within the program.
  • Participating in program review, assessment, and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Current relevant certifications such as Patient Care Technician certification, EKG Technician certification, and Phlebotomy certification, required.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting related to patient care, EKG, or phlebotomy, required.
  • Prior teaching or training experience in adult education preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills conducive to effective teaching and student support.
  • Ability to maintain current industry knowledge and incorporate best practices into instruction.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively within an educational environment.
