Job Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Report to section editor.
  • Cover story assignments as assigned by the section editor.
  • Cover beats if assigned.
  • Research and write articles, including setting up interviews and interviewing sources and writing stories.
  • Meet deadlines for stories.
  • Submit stories to the newspaper using the process determined by the section editor.
  • Communicate regularly with the assigned section editor(s).
  • Attend any and all staff meetings.
  • Perform any duties called for to ensure the student newspaper accomplishes its mission.
