JOB SUMMARYย 

North Risk is looking for a creative, detail-oriented Communications Specialist to help bring our brand to life across internal and external channels. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of writing, graphic design, social media, and strategic communication and is excited to create meaningful content that supports culture, strengthens brand consistency, and helps drive business growth.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES

  • Create compelling copy and on-brand graphics for North Risk's internal and external communication channelsย 
  • Manage and execute content for the firm's social media calendar, helping grow engagement and strengthen brand visibility
  • Write and distribute content across internal communication platforms to support company news, culture initiatives, and leadership messaging. Partner with leadership to communicate messages effectively.
  • Create external marketing materials such as sales capabilities PowerPoints, RFPs, sales flyers, website landing pages, and more. Partner with sales leaders to ensure materials are relevant, support sales initiatives, and are updated regularly.
  • Triage tickets from the Communications Department Work Request Form. Assess requests, scope the project or task, and deliver the final product to the requester by the due date.
  • Manage brand asset library and resources for the internal communications team and company-wide audience.
  • Lead or support communication-related projects that support the organization's initiatives (e.g., moving office locations, internal technology rollouts). Provide strategic recommendations on how to execute projects and identify efficiencies to strengthen internal processes for the future.ย 

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as requested by management.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)

  • High school degree or equivalent required.ย 
  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in communications, Journalism, or related discipline OR relevant experience required.
  • High competence in Microsoft Office required. Experience with Microsoft Teams is highly preferred.
  • 3+ years of communications experience required.
  • 2+ years of experience communicating in multiple media channels to various audiences preferred.
  • Comfortability leading meetings and presenting to groups.
  • Video editing experience required.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro required.
  • Ability to provide writing samples and complete a writing assessment as part of the interview process.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Perform under normal office conditions; may include lifting/carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Twist, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, stand, walk, and reach frequently
  • Hear, speak, and effectively verbally communicate in the English language, including following oral and written instructions to communicate with people inside and outside of the organization
  • Sit and a desk for extended periods of time and perform long hours of work sitting at a computer
  • Move around office/building/facilities repeatedly throughout the day
  • Apply manual dexterity, visual acuity and ability, for computer keyboarding, office equipment uses, review of detailed reports, information, fine print, and warning labels
  • Must possess valid driver's license and be able to travel to different North Risk Partners locations for meetings, as well as various locations throughout the state and potentially the region for client meetings
  • Able to work a flexible work schedule, including overtime, nights, and weekends to attend events and meetings as needed

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USEDย 

Incumbents must be able to use telephones, calculators, copy machines, computers, printers, and other office equipment.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSย 

The estimated range for this full-time position is $65,000 - $76,000 annually, plus benefits. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The hiring range represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.ย  ย
