Job Description

Finnin Ford is seeking a customer-focused Automotive Service Writer to join our growing service department. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, have strong communication skills, and take pride in delivering an excellent customer experience. You’ll serve as the primary point of contact between our customers and service technicians, ensuring that every repair order is handled efficiently, accurately, and with care.

The ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish is highly valued, as we proudly serve a diverse customer base in the Dubuque area.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers as they arrive in the service drive

  • Listen to customer concerns, accurately document repair requests, and create repair orders

  • Communicate effectively between customers and technicians regarding vehicle needs

  • Provide clear estimates for service and repair costs

  • Follow up with customers regarding repair progress and completion status

  • Verify completed work meets dealership and customer standards before vehicle delivery

  • Maintain accurate service records and customer information

  • Handle warranty documentation and approvals

  • Assist with scheduling appointments and managing service workflow
