THE POSITION

As an Event Security Agent, you’ll be more than just a presence you’ll be the go to for ensuring all fans, staff and players are safe. From the moment guests arrive, you’ll set the tone by ensuring they feel safe, supported, and welcomed. Whether you’re conducting security screenings, assisting with crowd flow, or responding to incidents, your focus will be on keeping every moment positive, safe, and memorable.

Our Event Security Agent we are the watchful eyes, the engaged conversation, and approachable guides that allow our fans to relax and enjoy the action. With you as primary for safety, fans can focus on creating memories, while you provide reassurance, security, and calm professionalism.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all guests.
  • Conduct security screening, bag checks, and educating fans on venue policies in a fan-friendly manner.
  • Monitor crowd flow and support wayfinding while upholding venue policies and the Fan Code of Conduct.
  • Provide access control while being vigilent for a variety of areas with different access levels and credential checks.
  • Identify and respond to potential security or safety concerns and complete a full investigation to be able to understand all aspects of complex situations.
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors, Event Command, and fellow staff in both person, over radio and in writing.
  • Assist in emergencies while reaming calm, taking actions while putting fans and staff safety at the forefront of all decisions.
  • Champion health, safety, and security for fans, staff, and the venues.
  • Active participation in the Safety Program and follow all safety rules.
  • All other duties as assigned.

THE INDIVIDUAL 

The ideal individual will have the following background: 

  • Alberta SSIA Security license. 
  • AGLC Pro-Serve with the ability to obtain AGLC Pro-Tect within 30 days of employment.
  • A people-first approach with a genuine passion for security and safety with a Fan Experience approach.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and approachable in fast-paced or stressful environments.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in using two-way radios, phones, and text systems.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for long periods, indoors or outdoors in all weather.
  • 2 Years previous security and/or event experience.
