Pay Range:
The base pay range for this position is
$19.42-$30.71 Hourly
however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Job Title: Patient Registrar
Work Schedule for this Position: Full-time, Mon - Friday rotating shifts starting at 7:30 or 8, until 4:30 - 5, 1 rotation of Saturday AM shift 8-12 every 4-6 weeks.

Position Overview:
The Patient Registrar provides high-quality customer service to patients, providers, and staff in a respectful, positive manner. Provides appointment scheduling and registration service for patients. Interviews all incoming patients to obtain patient demographic information and verify insurance eligibility. Supports clinical staff and providers with obtaining patient paperwork and/or patient care, as needed.

  • Promotes and contributes to a positive work environment, serving others with professional and positive attitude.
  • Encourages equitable division of workload.
  • Keep current with the changes in professionalism and hospital policy. Ensure completion of regulatory and departmental competencies within the timeframe set by your supervisor.
  • Accountable to demonstrate work effectiveness through safe completion of assigned tasks in a timely manner. Uses appropriate delegation to assist in patient care.
  • Follow high-reliability practices set by the organization and/or department and report safety concerns.
  • Participate in quality improvement projects throughout the organization in order to support a safe work environment. Participate in all assigned meetings and committee assignments.
  • Performs scheduling, check-in, check-out, and other pertinent organization processes according to procedures and policies. Ensuring accuracy of all data entry of patient data.
  • Train, demonstrate, or guide others in the performance of assigned work.
  • Portray a high level of professionalism of accountability and reliability, driving organization vision, mission and values.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and take responsibility for departmental space.
  • Performs in-office collection activities; collection of co-pays, writing receipts and balancing end of day deposit.
