H2 Performance Consulting (H2), a high-growth, technology-enablement firm, is seeking an experienced Proposal Writer to support aggressive growth initiatives.  The ideal candidate will have three (3) years minimum proven successful proposal writing experience.

Job Description

This is an exciting new opportunity to join a proposal team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment!  The Proposal Writer will be responsible for managing every phase of the proposal development process, from kick-off to submission.  This process includes playing a hands-on role to ensure that all components of the proposal are completed in a compliant and timely manner.  The Proposal Writer will also be the creative force who helps in writing and editing the document, maintaining version control, and managing quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development of the Business Development pipeline through research and refinement.
  • Assist with the Business Development pipeline lifecycle by facilitating opportunity scoring and prioritization.
  • Defining timelines and milestones for multiple simultaneous proposal efforts and ensuring adherence to those timelines.
  • Leading the development of outlines that present a compelling, innovative, and compliant approach to developing proposals.
  • Coordinating with teaming partners to track data call submissions and incorporate their inputs into the proposal.
  • Creating proposal elements such as matrices, tables, graphs, executive summaries, and management approaches.
  • Tracking proposal information such as Q&A's; reviewing and identifying changes, documenting and distributing/discussing changes with the team.
  • Ensuring past performance/resume updates are done with relevant personnel in a timely manner.
  • Coordinating proposal kick off, color review and lessons learned meetings as well as ensuring resulting action items and comments are addressed.
  • Reviewing drafts to ensure proposal content flows, is consistent, and fully compliant.
  • Supporting desktop publishing efforts to finalize proposal content.
  • Coordinating and creating graphics to ensure they are visually appealing and meet corporate standards.

 Applicant Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience in full life-cycle proposal writing, management and development.
  • Experience writing responses to Department of Defense Requests for Proposals with a successful win record.
  • Thorough understanding of Federal procurement policies and practices.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong desktop publishing and editing skills.
