Position Summary
As a Wrecking Crew Team Member, you will play a critical, hands-on role in executing demolition projects safely, efficiently, and professionally. This position is responsible for performing physical demolition tasks, operating tools and equipment, maintaining jobsite safety and cleanliness, and working as part of a coordinated crew under the direction of the Demolition Foreman.
Wrecking Crew Team Members are expected to take pride in their work, follow established safety standards, and contribute to a jobsite culture that values accountability, teamwork, and precision.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Perform manual and mechanical demolition of residential and commercial structures.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively, including saws, jackhammers, breakers, torches, and pry tools.
  • Assist with selective demolition, interior strip-outs, and structural dismantling.
  • Load, sort, and remove debris; assist with material salvage and recycling as required.
  • Set up and maintain safe work zones, including barriers, dust control, and protective measures.
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA standards, and site-specific safety plans.
  • Communicate effectively with Foreman and crew members regarding task progress or hazards.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and jobsite organization throughout the workday.
  • Perform daily cleanup to ensure a clean, professional, and safe jobsite.
  • Support other trades or projects as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to follow direction and safety protocols.
  • Basic knowledge of construction or demolition practices preferred.
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail and situational awareness on active jobsites.

Preferred Experience:
  • Prior demolition, construction, or labor experience.
  • Familiarity with power tools and demolition equipment.
  • Understanding of basic jobsite safety and hazard recognition.
  • Experience working around heavy equipment is a plus.

Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly lift and carry 50+ lbs.
  • Prolonged standing, kneeling, bending, climbing, and working at elevations.
  • Ability to work in tight spaces and around active equipment.

Education & Training:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Working knowledge of computer programs such as MS Word and Excel, and the ability to learn and adapt to the software used by the company.
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
  • Construction experience.

Pay & Benefits:
  • $28.00-$34.00/hr. DOE
  • Company cell phone
  • Continued education, learning business practices and key efficiencies
  • Medical Insurance: 60% of premiums paid by company, starting after 6 months of working with minimum 35 hrs. per week

  • 6 paid holidays after one year of employment
  • 40 hrs. vacation time after one year of employment, increasing yearly (max 80.0 hrs.)
