Job description

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and hard-working Material Handler to join our growing team of 2nd shift production associates at Blum USA. This is a great opportunity to connect with an established international company.
Job Responsibilities
As a Logistics Material Handler, you will be responsible for all work assignments within the Logistics Department. These include dock handler, pick station operator, material handler, over wrap operator, order checker, conditioning chamber, consolidation & small quantity warehouse.
Additional responsibilities for this Operator position include:

  • Interpret a variety of data presented in hardcopy &/or on a computer display
  • Loads/unloads pallets from/to trailers using forklift
  • Breaks down material received on pallets for processing & redistribution
  • Picks orders using a computer & stages those orders for shipment
  • Wraps & labels pallets
  • Inspects staged orders for accuracy
  • Recycles cardboard & plastic
  • Maintains housekeeping standards
  • Processes orders through the Conditioning chamber
  • Processes material through the small quantity warehouse
  • Transports material from warehouse to production & from production back to the warehouse using a forklift
Job Requirements
To be successful in this type of position, we need team players who bring a positive attitude to the work place and enjoy being around and working with others. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 1 year of experience in an automated warehouse environment.
Other requirements for this position include:
  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution is preferred
  • Lifts/Carries over 50 lbs up to a distance of 30 feet, under 15 times per shift
  • Pushes/Pulls over 50 lbs up to a distance of 5 feet, under 15 times per shift
  • Constant standing, sitting and forklift driving
  • Frequent reaching, walking, twisting, turning, stooping, bending, squatting and kneeling
  • Occasional crawling, working overhead or using both hands to finely manipulate objects
  • Constantly use both hands to move, grasp and pick up objects
  • Occasionally works in an area where there is exposure to high heat levels
  • Must be able to operate computers, scanners, wrapping machines & office equipment with one or both hands
  • Must be able to acquire/maintain sit-down & walk behind powered industrial forklifts operator licenses
  • Work requires ability to read/interpret data presented in hardcopy or on a computer display
  • Occasional use of both feet for repetitive movements while operating sit-down forklifts
