Job description

Schedule:

35 hour work weeks (up to 40 hours depending on work volume)

Monday-Friday, 7.5 hour shifts between 9am-8pm EST

NO OVERTIME

Duration: 2 months contract

Start Date: September 2026

Job Summary:

  • Answering benefits questions for all core products available to employees: medical, dental, vision, life and disability, and all voluntary and miscellaneous products.
  • ID card assistance
  • Finding in-network providers
  • Benefit administration login and password resets
  • Enrollment assistance
  • **NOT selling - just educating/guiding

Additionally, Benefits Counselors will be expected to participate in the following training and become proficient in each area:

  • Client benefit programs and services
  • Call center technology and processes
  • Client benefit administration platforms

Required Skills:

  • Experience with open enrollment
  • CALIFORNIA Life AND Accident & Health Insurance License Required (will need to obtain Arizona, Iowa and Indiana prior to starting)
  • Errors and Omissions Insurance
  • Strong computer skills (must pass Computer Literacy assessment)
  • Need 10 Bilingual English/Spanish Counselors (these counselors MUST have CA licenses and NOT reside in CA)
  • Must have their own equipment - laptop (not Chromebook), plug in headset and monitor

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience using modern call routing and CRM software to log data during live calls.
  • Familiarity with navigating backend enrollment systems to reset passwords and fix user flow errors.
  • High volume call experience
