Middle School Girls Wrestling Assistant Coach


STIPEND:ย  $3,886.00

All clearances (Federal, state, child abuse) must be updated to within a year of the date of employment. EOE.
SUMMARY:
-ย  ย To help each participating student achieve a high skill level; an appreciation for the values of discipline and sportsmanship; and an increased level of self-esteem.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:ย  Other duties may be assigned.
-ย  ย Instruct student athletes in the skills necessary for achieving excellence in the sport.
-ย  ย Maintain accurate statistics, records, and results of the season or delegates this responsibility.
-ย  ย Plans and schedules a regular practice program of practice.
-ย  ย Oversee the safety conditions of the practice and play facility or area when students are present.
-ย  ย Enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times.
-ย  ย Maintain competency in rule interpretations, meet procedures, coaching techniques, and general information about all aspects of the sport, in accordance with WPIAL/PIAA regulations.
-ย  ย Coordinate performance criteria for eligibility in interscholastic competition in this sport and is consistent in establishing criteria for eligibility in competition.
-ย  ย Recommend purchase of equipment, supplies, and uniforms.
-ย  ย Maintain necessary attendance forms, insurance records, and similar paperwork.
-ย  ย Account for all equipment or delegates the responsibility.
-ย  ย Develop a consistent and positive public communications procedure through the school and news media to inform the general public about the athletic program.
-ย  ย Work with athletes and recruiters to promote outstanding athletes to college.
-ย  ย Coordinate field/gym usage permits; transportation arrangements to away events, or delegate this responsibility.
-ย  ย Develop conditioning program, in cooperation with weight trainer and athletic trainer.
-ย  ย Coordinate arrangements for athlete physicals with the Athletic Trainer and announces to student athletes.
-ย  ย File required reports/runs follow-up on injured athletes.
-ย  ย Compile eligibility lists, as needed.
-ย  ย Nominate outstanding athletes for local/regional recognition or honors or all-star teams.
-ย  ย Direct selection/instruction of student managers, student statisticians, as needed.
-ย  Communicate regularly with parents of participating athletes.
ย
