Job description

Description:

At ClassLink, we believe learning should be accessible, engaging, and empowering for every student, every educator, everywhere. Thatโ€™s why we build secure, intuitive tools that empower more than 26 million students and educators worldwide. From simplifying access with single sign-on, to advancing equity with usage analytics, to automating secure rostering, our platform helps schools focus on what matters most: teaching and learning.

Weโ€™re not just building tools, weโ€™re building whatโ€™s next in education. By removing barriers and enabling data-driven decisions, our solutions help educators lead with confidence and students thrive in and out of the classroom every day.

Our team is driven by purpose and grounded in three core values:

  • Strive to Grow - always learning, improving, and innovating.
  • Deliver Worthwhile Experiences - for our users, our partners, and each other.
  • Contribute with Heart - putting people first in everything we do.

These values shape how we work, innovate, and support the communities we serve. If youโ€™re ready to do work that makes a real difference, and grow alongside a team that values collaboration, support, and continuous improvement. ClassLink is the place for you.

At ClassLink, we believe every interaction is an opportunity to create meaningful connections that support educators and students around the world. As our Event Manager, youโ€™ll play a key role in bringing the ClassLink brand to life through impactful, engaging experiences that strengthen relationships, elevate our presence in the Kโ€“12 community, and support continued growth.

This role is responsible for the planning, and execution of ClassLinkโ€™s high-impact event, including conferences, trade shows, partner lounges, and customer engagements. The ideal candidate is equal parts strategic thinker and hands-on executor: someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, operates with a high level of ownership, and is passionate about delivering worthwhile experiences for prospects, clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead End-to-End Event Execution
Manage the full lifecycle of 100+ events annually, from sponsorship negotiations and logistics planning to onsite execution and post-event follow-up. Ensure every event reflects ClassLinkโ€™s brand, values, and commitment to excellence.

Drive Strategic Impact
Align event strategy with organizational priorities, regional initiatives, and business goals to increase brand awareness, generate qualified opportunities, strengthen partnerships, and support customer engagement.

Deliver Exceptional Experiences
Create thoughtful, high-quality event experiences that foster meaningful connections with educators, district leaders, partners, and stakeholders while maintaining a consistent and professional brand presence.

Manage Budgets & Partnerships
Oversee event budgets with a focus on fiscal responsibility and measurable return on investment. Build strong relationships with venues, vendors, and production partners to ensure seamless execution and high-quality delivery.

Collaborate Across Teams
Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, Client Success, and Partner Services to coordinate messaging, event goals, customer engagement strategies, and follow-up efforts.

Measure Success & Optimize Performance
Track event performance through metrics such as attendance, lead generation, engagement, and customer feedback. Deliver post-event reporting and actionable recommendations to continuously improve results and efficiency.

Innovate & Improve
Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and creative engagement strategies to enhance the attendee experience and evolve ClassLinkโ€™s event presence year over year.

What You Bring
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience coordinating large-scale conferences, trade shows, or customer events
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute wherever needed
  • Passion for creating memorable, worthwhile experiences

This role may require travel, including evenings and weekends, based on event schedules and business needs.

Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee may perform other related duties as negotiated to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Requirements:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or a related field
  • 3โ€“5 years of event management experience, preferably within B2B, SaaS, or education technology environments
  • Proven success managing a high volume of events and balancing multiple priorities in fast-paced, complex environments
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams
  • Experience using event management and business platforms such as Salesforce, Cvent, Monday.com, and Zoom
  • Passion for creating engaging, worthwhile experiences that strengthen relationships and elevate brand presence
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lb.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10โ€“15% for conferences, events, and onsite execution support

Required: Candidate must be able to come in to our Clifton, NJ office up to 2x per week.

Benefits:

  • Generous Paid Time Off: 4+ weeks of vacation and 13+ paid holidays
  • Parental Leave: 12 weeks fully paid for all parents
  • Retirement: 401(k) with 0.5:1 company match
  • Comprehensive Health Coverage: Medical, dental, and vision plans
  • Insurance: Company-paid life, short-term disability, and long-term disability, plus voluntary options including supplemental life, accident, and pet insurance

Perks:

  • Volunteer Time Off: Give back through ClassLink Cares paid volunteer days
