As a Security Officer Vehicle Patrol Driver in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a utilities location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, offering the opportunity to support daily operations through mobile patrols and access awareness. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting conditions to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, parking areas, and/or access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance, lighting, or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity for restricted and/or operational areas, verify credentials when required, and communicate access concerns in accordance with site policies.
  • Support facility operations during weather events, utility service issues, and/or other critical situations by following post orders, assisting with traffic and pedestrian direction, and relaying information to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
