Position Details:

  • Location: Morton Plant Hospital North Bay, 6600 Madison Street, New Port Richey, FL 34652

  • Status: Part-Time

  • Shift: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM

  • On Call: Yes

Summary:

The Procedural RN responsibilities include:

  • RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards

  • RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team

  • RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization

  • RN also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

For this position, we prefer a minimum of two years RN experience. We prefer at least 1 year RN experience in Endoscopy, Pre-Op/PACU, Critical Care, or Emergency Service. Procedural RN experience in Pre-Op/PACU preferred. Endoscopy experience is strongly preferred for this role. This position is Part-Time set for five (5) 10-hour shifts per bi-weekly pay period.

Certifications and Licensures:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)

  • RN (Registered Nurse)

  • ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department

  • Preferred Nurse Specialty

Education:

  • Associate's Nursing or Diploma Nursing

  • Preferred Bachelor's Nursing

Experience:

  • Required 2 years RN experience

  • Preferred experience includes 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship or 1 year Pre-Op/PACU

  • Strongly preferred experience includes 1 year Endoscopy

Specific Skills:

  • Clinical skills appropriate to position

  • Interpersonal skills
