What is Workspace ONE UEM?

Workspace ONE UEM (Unified Endpoint Management) is a platform developed by VMware that enables organizations to manage and secure a wide range of devices, including smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktops, from a single console. It allows IT administrators to deploy applications, enforce security policies, monitor device compliance, and provide remote support regardless of device type or operating system. Workspace ONE UEM is commonly used to streamline device management and enhance security in businesses with diverse device environments.

What are some common challenges faced by Workspace ONE UEM administrators and how can they be addressed?

Workspace ONE UEM administrators often encounter challenges such as managing diverse device platforms, ensuring compliance with security policies, and handling large-scale deployments. Keeping up with frequent updates and integrating new features can also be demanding. To address these challenges, administrators typically leverage automation tools, maintain clear documentation, and participate in ongoing training or VMware community forums. Collaborating closely with IT security and support teams also helps ensure smooth operation and rapid issue resolution.

Job description

Job Description:

We are Omnissa!

Omnissa is the first AI-driven digital work platform, built to support flexible, secure, work-from anywhere experiences. We integrate industry-leading solutions, including Unified Endpoint Management, Virtual Apps and Desktops, Digital Employee Experience, and Security & Compliance—into a seamless, autonomous workspace that adapts to how people work. Our platform boosts employee engagement while optimizing IT operations, security, and cost.

Guided by our Core Values—Act in Alignment, Build Trust, Foster Inclusiveness, Drive Efficiency, and Maximize Customer Value—we’re growing rapidly and committed to delivering meaningful impact. If you\'re passionate about shaping the future of work, we’d love to hear from you.

What is the opportunity?

Omnissa is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join a small, high-impact team driving two of the most strategic growth areas within the Workspace ONE UEM Windows portfolio: device onboarding and provisioning, and UEM for Virtual environments.

This is a collaborative role where you\'ll work closely with the team lead to shape how ownership evolves across both initiatives as the team scales. You\'ll have meaningful influence from day one — contributing to roadmap direction, customer engagement, partner relationships, and engineering execution — with the expectation that ownership boundaries will grow and solidify as you ramp.

If you\'re energized by ambiguity, thrive without a rigid playbook, and want to help build something rather than just maintain it, this role is for you.

You\'ll join an action-oriented team that values open communication, empowerment, innovation, teamwork, and customer delight.

What will you work on?Windows Onboarding, Enrollment & Provisioning
  • Contribute to the roadmap for Windows device onboarding experiences, including zero-touch and drop ship provisioning, Windows Autopilot integration, and MDM enrollment flows.
  • Engage directly with OEM partners on joint provisioning initiatives spanning factory integration, OEM portals, and co-developed solutions.
  • Support alignment with Microsoft on Autopilot, Entra join, and Intune interoperability to ensure Workspace ONE delivers a best-in-class modern management experience.

UEM for Virtual Environments
  • Contribute to the product vision and roadmap for making Workspace ONE UEM the premier management platform for virtual environments, including Horizon, App Volumes, and Dynamic Environment Manager.
  • Help drive alignment across multiple product lines with independent roadmaps to deliver a cohesive, integrated experience for virtual desktop customers.
  • Participate in evangelizing the UEM for Virtual vision internally and externally — building shared understanding and momentum across engineering, sales, marketing, and partner teams.

Cross-Functional & Partner Execution
  • Partner with engineering on PRDs, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and quality assurance to deliver well-scoped, high-quality features.
  • Work closely with UX designers to develop mockups and prototypes that validate concepts before engineering investment.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales on go-to-market strategies, messaging, and enablement for both provisioning and virtual management audiences.
  • Engage directly with customers through demos, advisory boards, and workshops to collect feedback and validate direction.
  • Support escalation management in partnership with engineering, support, and customer success.

What will you bring to Omnissa?Required Skills:
  • Six or more years of experience in product management, technical marketing, systems engineering, or similar customer-facing roles.
  • Strong technical foundation in Windows — including operating systems, security, networking, and device management — sufficient to build credibility with enterprise customers, partners, and engineering teams.
  • Experience with modern Windows management approaches, including MDM enrollment, Autopilot, and cloud-based provisioning workflows.
  • Proven ability to lead products from concept to launch across cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated bias for action — able to move quickly, make decisions with incomplete information, and iterate based on feedback.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong collaborative instincts and ability to build alignment across teams with competing priorities and independent roadmaps.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and data-driven decision making.
  • Passion for customer advocacy, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Skills
  • Deep expertise in Windows provisioning technologies, including Windows Autopilot, Zero Touch Provisioning, PPKG/provisioning packages, Entra join, SCCM, MDT, and traditional imaging workflows.
  • Familiarity with OEM provisioning programs and factory drop ship workflows (e.g., Dell TechDirect, HP Sure Start, Lenovo deployment services).
  • Experience with virtual desktop infrastructure, including VDI, DaaS, or related technologies such as Citrix, Horizon, or Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • Experience with endpoint management platforms such as Microsoft Intune, Tanium, Ivanti, or similar enterprise device management solutions.
  • Familiarity with application layering and user environment management solutions such as App Volumes, Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM), FSLogix, or equivalent technologies.
  • Experience collaborating with cloud and hardware vendors on joint product or go-to-market initiatives.
  • Comfort working with UX design tools and partnering closely with designers on mockups and prototypes.
