Job description

We are seeking a Workshop Machine Operator to join our team! You will help oversee operational activities and ensure excellent quality control.

Responsibilities:

● Operate roll former machines and other assigned workshop equipment safely and efficiently.
● Review work orders, packing slips, measurements, and production instructions before starting.
● Confirm material type, size, quantity, and order requirements.
● Monitor machine performance and report issues to the Workshop Manager.
● Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and defects.
● Operate forklift equipment to move materials, finished products, and scrap.
● Load, unload, organize, and stage materials as needed.
● Organize, weigh, and dispose of scrap material properly.
● Deliver completed orders or materials to Arizona Steel locations as assigned.
● Keep the workshop, machines, tools, and production areas clean and organized.
● Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.

Qualifications:

● Previous machine operation, warehouse, steel, fabrication, or workshop experience preferred.
● Forklift experience is a plus.
● Basic mechanical ability and willingness to learn.
● Ability to read work orders, packing slips, measurements, and instructions.
● Strong attention to detail and quality.
● Dependable, punctual, and able to follow directions.
● Able to work safely around machinery, forklifts, sharp materials, and heavy products.
● Able to stand, bend, lift, push, pull, and perform physical tasks throughout the day.
● Valid driver’s license preferred.
