Job description

Workshop Supervisor

MineARC Systems is the global leader in controlled environments and safety technologies for the underground mining, tunneling, chemical processing, disaster relief, and biotechnology industries. We specialize in the manufacture and supply of emergency refuge chambers, safe havens, disaster shelters, and grow chambers, as well as a range of remote monitoring, tracking, and communications technologies that allow full integration in heavy industrial applications.


We are currently looking for a passionate Workshop Supervisor to manage up to ten workshop technicians. As a Workshop Supervisor, you will oversee and direct daily production activities in a manufacturing facility, ensuring smooth and efficient processes, adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, team management, workflow monitoring, and coordination with other departments to meet production targets and deadlines.


Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Support

  • Collaborate with Production Manager to coordinate daily activities for the production technician team.
  • Provide training, coaching, and hands‐on support to develop team skills and promote consistent performance.
  • Assist with troubleshooting production‐related issues across equipment, materials, processes, and personnel.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and quality‐driven mindset across the team.


Production & Workflow Management:

  • Supervise daily workshop operations and allocate labor based on production schedules.
  • Ensure timely completion of buildings according to the production schedule by leveraging and properly allocating resources.
  • Preparation of production materials for Production Technicians.
  • Hold daily entry or exit meetings to track progress.
  • Assist in completing the fit-out of all manufactured products as needed.
  • Communicate schedule changes to management.
  • Maintain a clean, well‐organized, and hazard‐free work area in alignment with 5S and safety practices.
  • Become subject matter expert across all product lines.


Quality Management:

  • Ensure consistent adherence to established quality standards by monitoring workmanship, materials, and processes throughout all stages of production.
  • Perform and oversee in-process and final inspections to verify product conformance.
  • Accurately complete and approve quality checklists, inspection records, and production documentation.
  • Enforce compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality management system requirements, and company policies. Identify and address deviations promptly.
  • Identify quality issues, support root cause analysis, and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions to improve product quality and process efficiency.


Technical Skills we require from you:

  • 5+ years in a manufacturing company.
  • 3+ years supervisory experience.
  • Ability to understand technical products.
  • General computing skills including Outlook, Teams, Word & Excel.
  • Production scheduling experience.
  • A good electro-mechanical technical background.
  • Proficient in reading engineering drawings, wiring schematics, and technical specifications.
