Job description

Are you seeking a job you really enjoy? One that gets you out of the office and into the fresh air? Do you love dogs and other pets? Then, joining the Passionately Pets Team may be the right job for you!

Passionately Pets, a local In-Home Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Company, is currently hiring exceptional dog walkersย to join our wonderfulย team. ย This position isย fun and rewarding as you get to enjoy the outdoors, get exercise and be loved by amazing local dogs, cats and other companion animals!

Midday Dog Walker Responsibilities:

  • Enterย the homes of clients and visit with their pets for varying lengths of time (usually 15ย - 30 minutes each)
  • Walk pets as requested
  • Feedย pets as requestedย 
  • Check that pets have ample, clean water supply and refill as necessary
  • Patrol homes for accidents orย damage caused by pets in the absence of their owners
  • Clean any accidents or damage discovered in homes of our clients
  • Communicate with Management

Midday Dog Walker Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Northernย VA residence within 7ย miles of 22301ย is preferred
  • Must be available for a minimum of the same 2 consecutive hours between 10AMย &ย 3PM Monday-Friday
  • Must have your own, reliable mode of transportation to perform the duties and responsibilities associated with this role
  • Must have your own reliable Smart Phone with internet access and data plan
  • Must be extremely detail oriented
  • Able to follow detailed instructions
  • Must be responsible, reliable, and dependable
  • Must be timely and punctualย 
  • Must beย able toย self-manageย 
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be compassionate about animals
  • Must feel comfortable working withย and interacting with both small and large animals
  • Must be willing to walk and drive in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to make at least a 1 year commitment, however longer is preferred
  • Must be able to passย criminalย background check

Stay active in the outdoors with a flexible schedule. Compensation is $24-$28 per hour plus tips, paid on a per visit basis.ย
