Join the City of South Jordan as a Seasonal Park Maintenance Worker!

Do you enjoy working outdoors and helping keep parks beautiful and well-maintained? The City of South Jordan is hiring a Seasonal Park Maintenance Worker to assist with the maintenance, landscaping, and upkeep of parks, trails, and public spaces.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform general cleaning, maintenance, and repairs to restrooms, pavilions, playgrounds, and picnic areas
  • Maintain sports fields for baseball, softball, soccer, and football
  • Operate mowers, trimmers, edgers, sod cutters, and other landscaping equipment
  • Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, clippers, and shears to maintain park grounds
  • Install and maintain sprinkler systems, landscape features, and plant trees, shrubs, and flowers
  • Gather and remove litter to keep parks clean and inviting
  • Remove snow and spread salt on walkways and parking lots during winter months
  • Set up tables, lights, and equipment for City events and programs

Who You Are:

  • At least 16 years old and eager to work in an active outdoor setting
  • Hardworking and dependable, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working in varied weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow
  • Experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or related work (preferred)
  • Valid Utah Class D Driver License (preferred)
