Job description

An established and growing Southern New Hampshire fence and outdoor construction company is seeking an experienced, dependable Lead Fence Installer / Working Crew Lead to join our team.

This is not a position for someone who needs to be constantly directed throughout the day. We are looking for a motivated, hands-on individual who takes pride in their work, maintains a positive attitude, and can help keep a jobsite organized and moving efficiently.

Responsibilities include:

• Installation of vinyl, chain-link, aluminum, and wood fencing

• Fence layout and accurate measurements

• Setting posts, maintaining proper line, grade, spacing, and height

• Gate installation, adjustment, and hardware setup

• Reading job scopes, layouts, and basic project information

• Helping direct and organize another crew member

• Planning ahead for tools, materials, and next steps

• Identifying potential problems before they stop production

• Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional jobsite

• Communicating job progress and material needs

• Working efficiently without sacrificing installation quality

The ideal candidate:

• Has previous fencing, construction, hardscape, excavation, carpentry, or similar field experience

• Can work independently and make reasonable jobsite decisions

• Has strong attention to detail

• Shows up consistently and on time

• Maintains a professional and respectful attitude

• Is willing to work hard alongside the crew

• Takes ownership when something needs to get done

• Can accept direction without creating unnecessary conflict

• Understands that leadership means setting the pace, not standing back and watching others work

• Snow plowing experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate

What we offer:

• $24.00–$30.00 per hour depending on experience and demonstrated ability

• Consistent full-time work

• Company truck available for the right qualified candidate based on experience, driving record, and level of responsibility

• Opportunity to grow into increased field leadership and responsibility

• Variety of residential and commercial projects

• Small-company environment where strong performance is noticed and rewarded

• Opportunity for long-term employment with a growing operation

Need a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
