Job description

Overview

Autism Spectrum Therapies ("AST"), one of the largest and most respected autism services organizations in the county, is currently seeking an Advanced Behavior Technician, to join our team.

The Advanced Behavior Technician provides behavioral intervention to children with autism and their families in a variety of settings. An Advanced Behavior Technician reports directly to a Clinical Supervisor. and is responsible for implementing the specific ABA programs/treatment plans as written by the Supervisor for their specific clients. In addition to implementing behavior plans and program goals, the behavior interventionist is responsible for collecting data and working closely with parents. An Advanced Technician will recommend programming goals for their clients, create client materials as needed, run monthly team meetings with their clients, respond to parent questions, and prepare progress reports when assigned.

Responsibilities

In-Field Support

  • Act as a floater for center, as needed
  • Provide Parent Education and Consultation services
  • Assist with client programing; analyzing data to identify issues for supervisor
  • Provide other support to BCBAs as requested

Off-Site Support

  • Write first drafts of progress reports
  • Review client programs on Catalyst
  • Conduct Program Development
  • Assist with coordination of care
Qualifications
  • Education requirements: A high school diploma/GED and some college (At least 1 college course completed, dual enrollment with a college while in high school or trade school program completed)
  • Minimum of two-years experience working with children with special needs and/or autism
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software programs as needed
