Director of Workforce Development

Location: Topeka, KS 66611

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Workforce Development (Human Resource Professional/Generalist) to join our 53 year strong organization in Topeka, KS. SLI is a non-profit organization accredited by CARF. This department's team has over 20 years together of providing quality Workforce and HR supports, holding multiple degrees and professional qualifications. The candidate we are searching for will be detail-oriented, dependable, and possess strong work ethic and teamwork. This role requires a strong compassionate leader with empathy and excellent organizational abilities to develop and implement programs that support workforce growth and community engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and oversee workforce development programs that align with community and organizational goals.
  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize internal processes and software.
  • Be knowledgeable as an HR generalist and have effective communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple situations calmly, objectively and independently.
  • Ensure programs are delivered with a high level of customer service and responsiveness to needs.
  • Demonstrate integrity and confidentiality.
  • Must have strong organizational skills with attention to risk control.
Qualifications
  • Four years direct experience in workforce development/human resources or a related field.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Dependable with a strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service skills with empathy and understanding of diverse populations.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
