About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama, in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, Georgia, and Birmingham, Alabama, just off Interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.

Help
  • Performs audits of incoming and outgoing funding, ensuring audit readiness requirements are met by the team. Participates in briefing to the Commander.
  • Provides technical assistance on matters concerning budgetary policy, law, and regulation for the Depot.
  • Analyzes, monitors, and tracks: expenses, revenue, and net operating results to ensure sufficient and proper distribution and utilization of funds.
  • Leads a team, which is responsible for planning, development, formulation, presentation, and execution of the operating budget for the Base Operations Mission.

  • This position has a data analytics requirement. The incumbent must meet all requirements for data analytics level 2 certification within 24 months of being placed on the position.

  • Temporary Duty travel may be required up to 10% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes applying budgetary policies and regulations related to base operations for a working capital fund; participating in the development and execution of an operating budget; providing advice on the budget programming and funding process; participating in the development or execution of support agreements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.
