Duties and Responsibilities: 

65%- Teach classroom content in accordance to master syllabus and complete all associated duties (testing, evaluation, grade submission). Utilizes creative and innovative teaching methods. Correlates theoretical concepts with clinical practice. Constructs test questions and exams based on student learning outcomes. Analyzes test questions for validity. Solicits student feedback.
15%- Course planning and development of curriculum with peers. Participates in developing training requirements, classroom content and other related materials. Incorporates student evaluation data in training revisions. Reviews textbooks and supplemental materials for use in the training. Collaborates with faculty of other courses to provide continuity of course content
10%-Maintains expertise in clinical practice. Supervises students in the clinical area. Assist students to develop critical thinking skills and sound clinical judgement. Evaluates students according to training outcomes.
10%-Adhere to college and school policies. Demonstrates initiative and self-direction. Maintains scheduled class times. Serve as a role model for students and colleagues. Performs other duties as assigned

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Required Experience: Two years nursing experience

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: American Health Association Basic Life Support provider status; acceptable background check and drug screening results; documentation for health requirements (physical exam, immunization).

Required Licenses or Certifications: Current unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in State of Louisiana

Preferred Education: Master's Degree in Nursing

Preferred Experience: 5 years nursing experience

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: N/A
